UXBRIDGE YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE

U-13 IN-TOWN PLAYING RULES

  • Law 1: The ball shall be size 5 for U-13
  • Law 2: Number of players - maximum number on the field (7) including keeper. Each player shall play a minimum of 50% of the total game time. 
  • Law 3: Players equipment: Shirts, short and socks - provided by the League. Footwear; tennis type of rubber-molded soccer cleats, supplied by the players. Shin-guards: MANDATORY; supplied by the player. Mouth-guards; recommended; supplied by the player. Water; MANDATORY; supplied by the player.
  • Law 4: Duration of the game; two equal 35 minute half's. Five minute break at the half.
  • Law 5: The start of play - kick-off at the center mark. Opponents must be ten (10) yards away from the center mark.
  • Law 6: Offsides - there shall be offside which will conform to all FIFA rules.
  • Law 7: Fouls and misconducts: Conforms to all FIFA rules. The referee/coach must explain ALL infractions to the offender.
  • Law 8: Free Kicks - conform to all FIFA rules.
  • Law 9: Penalty Kicks - conform to all FIFA rules.
  • Law 10: Throw-in: conform to FIFA rules
  • Law 11: Goal kick: to be taken from any point inside the goal area. Opponents must outside the penalty area.
  • Law 12: Corner kick: conform to FIFA rules.
  • Law 13: Substitutions: may be made during own throw-in, any goal kick, and any kick-off. A single substitution may be made for an injured player. The referee must be signaled before a substitution is made.

GENERAL RULES: Scoring and standings will be reported; however, emphasis is on participation and play, not winning. No spectators will be allowed behind the goal of either team

All winning coaches must report the scores to Steve Taylor 508-278-6301 or pres@uysl.org within 48 hours of the game ending, otherwise it will be recorded as a 0-0 tie. If the game results in a tie, the coach whose team is listed first on the schedule shall call the result of the game in.

Any yellow card issued during the game shall result in that player sitting out the rest of the period. A second yellow card to the same player during a game or a red card shall result in their suspension from the rest of the game, and a suspension from the next game. Any violent conduct resulting in a red card from a player, spectator or coach shall result in that individual being suspended for the rest of the season.
